BIOMEDICAL TECHNICIAN AND PROJECT COORDINATOR-BRITISH COLUMBIA

Reporting to the Manager of Trudell Technical Service (TTS), you will be responsible for providing high quality bench and field service to our customers. You will also be an integral part of coordinating capital projects involving Operating Rooms in Western Canada; working with a variety of staff and customers

While maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and projecting a professional image, you will participate in the development of proposals (in conjunction with other members of the Sales & Marketing department). As project coordinator on behalf of TMML, you will plan, coordinate and commission installations, executing on-site activities as required with support provided from the Technical Services department. You will effectively act as liaison between architects, hospital planners, TMML employees and hospital biomedical staff

You will perform repairs, modifications, and complete preventative maintenance work on operating room equipment, vital signs monitoring products, and life support equipment in accordance with the appropriate Canadian standards while increasing our base of preventative maintenance contracts. You will enjoy the variety of these core functions along with maintaining the inventory of tools and information

This is a hands-on position offering the opportunity to contribute to the quality of health care being provided to patients in Canadian hospitals. 

As a suitable candidate, you have:

  • Post Secondary education in Biomedical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with CAD layouts and ability to read blueprints
  • Demonstrated project coordination abilities
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
  • Three (3) years previous experience servicing medical equipment
  • Demonstrated advance MS Office skills (especially Excel) required and working knowledge of inventory software systems preferable
  • Demonstrated good mechanical skills and attention to detail
  • Proven time management and prioritization skills
  • Diplomatic and professional communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs (23kg)
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time with flexibility to work overtime when required
